The Simas tree adoption initiative was founded on the high temperature levels in urban areas and the degraded soils that farmers use for subsistence farming.
The main aim is to make urban areas cooler by raising awareness about the importance of native trees versus exotic trees, teaching school children how to plant trees and why they shouldn't cut down trees as they get older, degrading the land left by informal farmers.
This is also one of the main corporate social responsibilities of Great Titan Ltd Group. As GTL buys land to create organized settlements, which have also been degraded by informal farmers, we are taking this opportunity to replant indigenous trees to reclassify the land, making New residential areas look nicer and cleaner for new urban residents.
We have planted 5,300 trees 🌳 in Ndola with a target of planting trillions of trees 🌳.
At the same time, we also make use of radio stations to spread awareness about planting indigenous trees, how to look after them and why citizens should stop cutting trees.
Saving ONE tree at a time & planting ONE tree at a time.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
